Entrant Identity. The entrant must declare their full name as it appears on a government-issued ID, valid upon the time of submission of entry.

Qualification. Only UAE residents above 18 years of age are permitted to enter the Contest, granted they meet the rest of the requirements listed in the Official Rules.

Verification. Electronic story submissions, declaration forms (the “Declaration Form”) and background check authorization forms (“Background Check Authorization Form”) are subject to verification by the Contest Organizers. Any submission which is, as the case may be, incomplete, illegible, mutilated, fraudulent, registered or submitted late, bearing an invalid e-mail address or phone number, not bearing a qualified story or otherwise noncompliant shall be rejected.

Background Checks. Information discovered through the background check process will be used solely for the purpose of evaluating a finalist’s suitability for participation in the Contest and will not be used to discriminate against an entrant on the basis of race, color, religion/creed, sex/gender, age, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, national origin, genetic information, marital/familial status, disability, military, veteran status, or any other protected status.

Disqualification. Big Ticket, and their affiliates, reserve the right to disqualify any entrant and void any entries of that entrant who it believes has tampered with the entry process or any other component of the Contest, whose conduct or action may affect the administration, security or fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Contest, who fails to meet or abide by these Official Rules (e.g. creating fake registrations or accounts to vote multiple times for one story), or whose background check results return information which the Contest Organizers (under their sole discretion) deem inappropriate for an entrant to participate in the Contest.

Declaration Form. Documents used for the Contest such as the Declaration Forms and Background Check Authorization Forms are the property of the Contest Organizers and shall not, in any case, be returned to entrants.

  • All entrants must accept the Declaration Form provided on the website in accordance with the Official Rules and confirm therein that they comply with the eligibility conditions as provided herein.
  • If an entrant is submitting a story on behalf of another individual of legal age (18 years of age), the submitting participant and the individual they are submitting the story for must sign the Declaration Form together if they are selected as one of the finalists.
  • If an entrant is submitting a story on behalf of another individual who is a minor (below 18 years of age), the submitting participant and the legal guardian of the minor must sign the Declaration Form together if they are selected as one of the finalists. The legal guardian must provide evidence of relationship to the minor in the form of government-issued ID (e.g. passport copies of both guardian and minor).
  • All entrants must confirm his or her acceptance and compliance with the Official Rules and releasing Big Ticket, their respective parent companies and subsidiaries, their affiliates, their sponsors, and each of their respective employees, directors, officers, governors, representatives, professional advisors, and advertising and promotional agencies (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all liability arising out of, pursuant to, or as a result of the carrying out of the Contest, including, without limitation, liability arising from the participation in the Contest.

Background Check Authorization Forms. All entrants are contingent upon clear results of a thorough background check. Background checks will be conducted on all finalists of the Contest. Finalists must complete a Background Check Authorization Form and returned to the Contest Organizers within 3 working days from receipt of the form.

Contest rollout. Any attempt by any person to tamper with the entry process, to interfere with the proper administration and enforcement of these Official Rules or the Contest, to deliberately damage the website or any other website owned and run by the Contest Organizers may constitute a violation of law, and Big Ticket, and their affiliates, reserve the right to seek damages and/or other relief from all persons responsible for such acts to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Website function. The contest organizers in no way guarantee that the contest website or any related website will be accessible or functional without interruption during the contest period or that it will be free of errors.

Limitation of responsibility: contest operation. Big Ticket, and its affiliates, are not liable for any faulty computer components, software, or line of communication, or for the loss or absence of network communication capability, or for any faulty, incomplete, incomprehensible, or erased computer or network transmissions that make it difficult or render an individual unable to enter the contest. As well, the Released Parties are not liable for any damage or loss that may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, by the loading or downloading of any webpage, software, or other item or the transmission of any information with a view to participating in the contest.

Modification of the contest. The contest organizers reserve the right, at their sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend this contest in whole or in part should human intervention or an event take place that could modify or affect the administration, security, impartiality, or conduct of the contest as provided herein.

End of contest entry. In the event that the computer system is unable to register all contest entries during the contest period, for any reason whatsoever, or contest entry must end in whole or in part before the date indicated herein, finalists and winners may be drawn, at the discretion of contest organizers, from among the entries duly registered during the contest period or, where applicable, up to the date of the event that put a stop to contest entry.

Limitation of liability: contest entry. By entering or attempting to enter this contest, all persons entering or attempting to enter this contest release the Released Parties of all liability for any damage they may suffer by entering or attempting to enter the contest.


All fees or expenses of the finalists must be borne by themselves and/or his guests, including without limitation transportation between their place of residence and the respective venue where the filming of their stories will be conducted, meals, drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), hotel, tips and taxes, personal insurance, travel visa fees, Internet access fees, local and international telephone calls, all other personal expenses.

All entries and materials submitted to in connection with the Contest (collectively, “Entry Materials”), along with all copyright, trademark and other proprietary rights associated therewith, become the property of Big Ticket, and their affiliates upon submission, and Entry Materials will not be returned to any entrant. All entrants agree to take, at Big Ticket, and their affiliates’ expense, any further action (including, without limitation, execution of affidavits and other documents) reasonably requested by Big Ticket, and their affiliates to effect, perfect or confirm Big Ticket, and their affiliates’ ownership rights as set forth above in this Section.

By participating in the Contest, each entrant consents to the collection, use and disclosure of his or her personal information by Big Ticket, and their affiliates for the purposes of administering the Contest, awarding prizes and announcing the winner. Except where prohibited by law, by entering the Contest, all entrants hereby grant to Big Ticket, and their affiliates the unlimited right (but not the obligation) to publish and use, without payment or other compensation and without notice, consent or approval, his/her name, photograph and likeness, address (city/town and province/territory), voice, and the whole or part of any statement or statements he/she has made or makes about the Contest or a prize in any publicity, program or advertising, without geographic limit and in perpetuity, in any medium now known or hereafter devised (including, without limitation, the Internet), and hereby consents unconditionally to any such publication or use without further notice, consent, approval or compensation.


There will be 5 winners of this contest entitled to receive a prize in accordance to the wish statement in their story submission. Each of the winners’ prize will be awarded in part or in full granted that the full value of the wish is equivalent to the Maximum Potential Retail Value (“MPRV”): of US$37,000 (the “Prize”). Should the wish statement’s total value exceed US$37,000, the Contest Organizers shall award the winner a partial contribution to the fulfilment of their wish in cash or in kind with a value not exceeding the Prize.

  • Prize acceptance. The prize must be accepted as it is described in the Contest Rules and cannot, in any case, be in totality or in parts transferred to another party, substituted for another prize or traded against other alternatives, whether cash or material equivalent. The Winner will be required to execute a legal agreement and release (“Release”) that confirms Winner’s names and its acceptance of the terms and conditions of the Contest before being declared the Winner. The executed Release must be returned to Big Ticket within five (5) business days of receipt. An eligible winner or the selected potential winner may, in the sole discretion of the Contest Organizers, be disqualified and the Prize forfeited if the Release is not received by the Contest Organizers within the aforementioned timeframe.
  • Prize sponsorship. The Contest Organizers, has the full right and may, in its sole discretion, involve a sponsor to co-award the Prize to the winner.
  • Prize substitution. In the eventuality where it would be impossible, difficult and/or more expensive for the Contest Organizers to give a Prize (or part of a Prize) as it is described in the present rules, Big Ticket reserve the right to give a Prize (or part of a Prize) of same nature and/or of equivalent value.
  • Prize limit. In no case will Contest Organizers be required to award more Prizes than set forth herein, or award a Prize other than as specified herein.
  • Limitation of responsibility: use of the prize. By entering the Contest, each entrant agrees to fully indemnify and hold harmless the Contest Organizers; Big Ticket, or their respective agents, affiliates, subsidiaries, related companies, their advertising and promotional agencies, their employees, agent or representative against any and all liability, damages or causes of action with the prize acceptance or the use of the prize.
  • Use of prize. All winners are solely responsible for use of their prizes.


By entering this Contest, each entrant releases and holds each of the Released Parties harmless from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind to the entrant, Released Party or any other person or entity, including, without limitation, personal injury, death, or property damage, resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any Prize, participation in this Contest, any breach of these Contest Rules, or in any Prize-related activity. Each entrant agrees to fully indemnify the Released Parties from any and all claims by third parties relating to the Contest, without limitation.


By entering this Contest, each entrant agrees to be legally bound by these Official Rules, throughout the Contest Period. Each entrant further agrees to be bound by the decisions of the Contest Organizers, which shall be final and binding in all respects. The Contest Organizers reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant found to be:

  • Violating the Official Rules
  • Tampering or attempting to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Contest
  • Possessing questionable reputation from the results of their background checks
  • Acting in a disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrant or person;
  • Make disparaging comments or remarks about the Contest or the Contest Organizers.

All intellectual property, including but not limited to trade-marks, trade names, logos, designs, promotional materials, web pages, source code, drawings, illustrations, slogans and representations are owned by Big Ticket and/or their affiliates. All rights are reserved. Unauthorized copying or use of any copyrighted material or intellectual property without the express written consent of its owner is strictly prohibited.


The Contest Organizers reserve the right to cancel or amend the Contest or the Official Rules, at any stage, but will always endeavor to minimize the effect to participants in order to avoid undue disappointment. The Contest Organizers reserves the right, to adjust any of the dates, timeframes and/or other Contest mechanics stipulated in these Official Rules, to the extent deemed necessary by the Contest Organizers, for purposes of verifying compliance by any entrant or entry with the Official Rules, or as a result of any technical or other problems, or in light of any other circumstances which, in the opinion of the Contest Organizers, in its sole and absolute discretion, affect the proper administration of the Contest as contemplated in these Official Rules, or for any other reason.


These Official Rules shall be governed by UAE law. These Official Rules are subject to change without notice in order to comply with any applicable laws or the policy of any other entity having jurisdiction over the Contest Organizers.  The UAE Courts have exclusive jurisdiction to determine any disputes which may arise out of, under, or in connection with these Official Rules.


These Terms and Conditions were written in English. To the extent any translated version of these Terms and Conditions conflicts with the English version, the English version prevails.
